Vía Volcán

Brand identity and packaging for Vía Volcán coffee, from label to social presence.

  • Branding
  • Social Media Strategy
  • Package Design
  • Business Card Design

Goals

  • Brainstorm a name unique to the company's origins
  • Manage art direction of the new logo and packaging
  • Collaborate with the web developer on the new website and write copy
  • Coordinate with media outlets to build brand awareness

Results

  • Developed the Vía Volcán name, rooted in the company's origins.
  • Art-directed a logo and packaging system across two single-origin coffees, Caturra and Geisha.
  • Extended the identity to business cards, branded mugs, burlap coffee sacks, and in-store shelf signage, and wrote copy for the new website.
  • Earned press coverage in Alexandria Living Magazine, Roast Magazine, and TheZebra.org.
  • The name, identity, and packaging are still in use today.

The work

The story

Write the case study here: the brief, the audience, what the brand needed to say, and how the packaging and social strategy carried it. Markdown works, so headings, lists, and links are fine.
